Q&Me: Quintiles’ Employees Matching Gifts Program

In addition to our company initiatives, Quintiles wants to support the causes and programs that are important to our employees. Under the Q&Me matching gifts program, Quintiles will match a total of $250 in qualified contributions per employee annually (certain restrictions apply). Do you already volunteer for a qualifying organization? If you give them 10 hours of your time during the calendar year, we’ll send a $75 donation in your name.

Who Is Eligible?

All U.S.-based Quintiles employees who have worked for Quintiles for at least 9 months are eligible to participate in the Quintiles Q&Me program. Interns, co-ops, temporaries, vendors and contractors are not eligible to participate in this program.

How Much Is The Match?

Quintiles will pay up to $250 per calendar year in a match of contributions you make to eligible charitable organizations or educational institutions under the Q&Me program. Quintiles will match donations of cash, personal checks or credit cards. Contributions by eligible employees must be made as personal gifts of $25 or more, and the contributions must be actually paid, not merely pledged before they are matched. Matching Gift requests which are less than $25 will be returned to the employee. Please note - The annual payment limit is based upon Quintiles receipt of the matching request from the eligible institution – not the date of your donation to the organization.

What Groups and Organizations Does Q&Me Support?

Quintiles will process and match employee gifts to all eligible domestic charitable organizations with a U.S. Department of Treasury 501(c)(3) public charity status and to certain educational institutions.

Educational institutions that qualify to receive a matching gift from Quintiles are private and public colleges and universities and publicly and privately supported primary and secondary schools. Quintiles will also match gifts to tax-exempt alumni funds, foundations, and associations whose exclusive purpose is the support of one of these educational institutions. Parent Teacher Associations (PTA) that are recognized by the IRS as tax exempt under section 501(c)(3), are also eligible. Only charitable contributions to these institutions are eligible for matching gifts. Tuition payments, books, fees, room and board cannot be matched through this program.

Funding Federations with a 501(c)(3) public charity status, such as United Way, that provide financial support and advocacy for a group of member non-profit organizations are also eligible to receive a matching gift from Quintiles.

Quintiles does not match gifts to private foundations, political causes, candidates, organizations or campaigns, or religious, sectarian or fraternal organizations. Quintiles will only process and match employee gifts to religious organizations when the gift is designated to an ongoing secular community service program sponsored by these organizations which is open to all persons and does not propagate or require a belief in a specific faith. Some examples of these types of programs are homelessness projects, food banks, shelters, and literacy programs which may be operated by a religious institution.
